What this tone generator does

  • Generate frequencies from −32,000 to +32,000 Hz, with log or linear control.
  • Stack up to 64 oscillators with per-voice volume, pan, phase, waveform (sine/triangle/square/saw/pulse).
  • Visualize audio using a master oscilloscope, per-voice mini scopes, and a vectorscope (XY).
  • Connect a controller via Web MIDI (note on/off, velocity→volume, pitch bend, sustain, channel filter).

How to use it

  1. Click Enable Audio or move any frequency slider.
  2. Voices start unmuted at 50% volume; voice #1 is pre-set to 440 Hz.
  3. Switch waveforms or select Pulse and adjust Pulse %.
  4. Optional: Enable MIDI and play your controller.

FAQ

Can I generate ultrasonic or sub-audible tones? Yes, the range includes negative/positive values; negative behaves as phase inversion.

Is it safe for headphones? Keep volumes moderate; high levels or long exposure can cause damage.
